I have read and understand the parameters around what is and is not a permissible NIL activity under NCAA rules and Interim Policy, Colorado state law and CU guidelines. I acknowledge that any NIL agreement I make with a student-athlete is an exchange of value rather than “Pay for Play” or an extra benefit. The value I am providing to the student-athlete is not dependent upon their athletic achievements or successes. I know that I will be jeopardizing the student-athlete’s NCAA eligibility if I provide compensation without the student-athlete performing a service or otherwise “earning” such remuneration. I am not offering an NIL deal to a current or prospective student-athlete in exchange for their commitment, attendance, initial or continued enrollment at CU Boulder. I UNDERSTAND THAT APPROVAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXCHANGE IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF ME OR MY COMPANY ON BEHALF OF CU BOULDER. I AM AWARE OF THE CU BOULDER TRADEMARK AND LICENSING RULES REGARDING NIL ACTIVITIES. I UNDERSTAND THAT APPROVAL TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXCHANGE DOES NOT GRANT ME CU LICENSEE STATUS. I acknowledge that neither the University of Colorado, CU Athletics Department, sport programs nor individual coaches/staff members are parties to NIL contracts. I cannot hold the University liable for any unfulfilled obligations or breaches of contract by the student-athlete.
